The Xone:4D uses the new USB 2.0 soundcard which is now in production in the Xone:2D, which offers much greater capability and flexibility over the previous version.

The new 4D will do everything that the Xone:3D could do, and more. It will enable DJs to greatly extend the capability of their digital setup, e.g. by running 4 simultaneous decks in Native Instruments Traktor, or by being able to achieve genuine multi-track recording of their sets in applications such as Ableton Live or ProTools.

The Xone-4D has new features like multi-track recording, running 4 simultaneous decks in Native Instruments Traktor or, like a lot of people requested, panels that can be read in very low light using a ultra violet sensitive paint.

The specifications Allen and Heath Xone:4D Mixer are 24-bit audio resolution and 96 kHz sampling rate, 8 different setups for the USB soundcard (that removes the need of using the computer software utility like the Xone:3D model), 225 assignable MIDI controls, real-time LFO waveform edit function, 4 stereo and digital outputs and 4 stereo and digital inputs and FX2 RCA sockets that can be converted to recording outputs.

The Xone:4D continues the seamless integration of computer-based digital media into the traditional DJ workspace, but with a further enhanced feature set. Combining a fully featured, high specification professional analogue DJ mixer with 105 MIDI controllers and 227 MIDI messages, a completely new, high-end, 96 kHz / 24-bit 20 channel Allen and Heath-designed USB 2.0 soundcard, the progressive XONE:4D has been developed in conjunction with some of the world’s most cutting-edge DJ/producers.

Other new features for the 4D include the new 20-channel USB 2.0 soundcard, a completely new BPM counter, assignable LFO with step VCF-filter and fresh new paint.
