A high-performance cardioid dynamic microphone, the Audio-Techinca Artist Elite 4100 (AE4100) vocal microphone delivers aggressive sound that stays up-front in the mix. Optimized for the stage, the AE4100 features  a back-cavity assembly that "floats" inside the handle shell, providing excellent isolation from handling noise. Meanwhile it's multi-stage grille design offers excellent protection against plosives and sibilance, without compromising high frequency clarity because Audio-Technica gave the AE4100 a hardened-steel outer grille that is line with fine steel mesh and a layer of open-cell foam. To provide superior pop protection, though, Audio-Technica went one step further and positioned a foam disk on top of the element assembly. With all of these great features plus, a tough, durable, and resilient build, not to mention and Quiet-Flex clamp that provides silent, flexible microphone positioning, the AE4100 by Audio-Technical is destined to be the next classic.
