I used my new ProMaxx-14a speakers at a wedding reception this past week. I was very impressed with the clear, clean highs, smooth mids and the punchy bass. I used them without a sub for a crowd of probably 100, but they had plenty more to give. I would have been comfortable with a much larger crowd. Not only was I impressed, but I received very positive comments from another dj who dropped by to hear them. I kept the dsp selector on the original setting, but I am looking forward to experimenting with the others. They are going to be my workhorse qigging speakers from now on. Thank you Erik for great service also!

The FBT HiMaxx40A has been one of my favorite speakers and I've also had really good luck with FBT's reliability. So when the ProMaxx series was announced back in October 2010 the ProMaxx14A really excited me. It has more power, a bigger speaker, built in DSP, and weighs less! I just got a chance to play with one myself and it's everything I hoped it would be. When I first got it out of the box I really liked the handle on the top of the unit. The HiMaxx series didn't have this and it makes it a lot easier to pickup. A small thing but convenient. When I first turned on the speaker and played some music through it I immediately heard the great FBT sound I've come to expect. No surprise there. After playing a few songs through it I was really familiar with I found the bass response is excellent. The highs and mids are very detailed and clear as well which is what makes FBT stand apart from other manufacturers in my opinion. Overall this a great new offering from FBT.
