The GK Fusion 550 bass head incorporates a uniquely designed six stage tube preamp paired with a 500 + 50 watt version of the high current solid state power amp used in the 1001RB-II. The new preamp section takes the next step in innovation by incorporating motorized knobs which allow you to store two different settings. This gives you the ability to dial in a separate overdriven or slap tone and footswitch between them. The Fusion 550 is GK's first tube preamp bass head. The combination of the normal Gallien Krueger sound and tubes in the preamp section is something that has to heard to be appreciated. Order one now and revolutionize your bass rig.

Amazing amp, does what it says June 9, 2009

After a long wait from GK, I finally recieved this amp. It was very well wrapped, and i did not have to worry about shipping damage. The weight is bit on the heavy side, but nothing compared to an old SVT. Very stylish. Once plugged in, i messed around with the knobs and tested the motors; they all worked great. The overdrive possible form this amp is amazing, and it sounds loads better than a pedal overdrive. Thursday I'll be able to play it at full volume, but at the setting that i have tried it out at it is by far a keeper.

Don't forget to try a GK Bi-Amp Cab. I ordered a NEO 410 and should arrive soon. Believe me, that extra feature sure is nifty.
