Quite possibly the coolest looking mic ever, the Fin from Heil Sound is a double chrome plated, linear cardioid patterned microphone with a standard 3-pin XLR connector, a sleek, sexy vintage style, and 4 blue LED lights that light up when 48V phantom power is applied. The Fin features a copper plated steel body with a double chrome finish, a special magnetic structure, a large 1-1/18" aluminum low mass voice coil assembly to produce a wide frequency response, and a linear cardioid pickup pattern with terrific off-axis rejection. There is an internal Sorbothane shock mount that isolates the dynamic microphone element so that low frequency handling noise is significantly reduced. With the 5/8” threaded mount, you can attach the Fin to booms or floor stands.
