The Roland TD-30KV V-Drum kit is the much anticipated replacement for the TD-20SX kit. Once again Roland pushes the envelope of technology making electronic drums even better and more usable in both live and recording situations. Professionals all agree the look, feel, and sound of this new generation of V-Drum is the best yet.

The TD-30KV uses the new TD-30 V-Drum module which is a new design for 2012 and uses SuperNATURAL sounds with Behavior Modeling, along with advanced sensing technology to provide a new level of realism and playability for electronic drums. The TD-30 module also has USB audio-playback functionality as well as USB to MIDI. There is also a dedicated ambience fader to play with room ambience and overhead mic placement. The TD-30KV snare ( PD-128S-BC ) has a new rim sensor designed to work with the TD-30 V-Drum module to best replicate the needs of drummers. All the pads on the TD-30KV feature a new look for 2012 with a Black Chrome shell wrap. Physically they look similar to the last model with top and bottom lugs and an overall realistic look to them. The TD-30KV snare is snare stand mountable and the toms mount to the rack. For cymbals on the TD-30KV the VH-13-MG is a new V-Hi-Hat which features an improved motion sensor and combined with the TD-30 module will give a more natural smooth open and closed hi hat control. The cosmetics are a little different as well with a metallic gray finish. The CY-14C-MG, and CY-15R-MG are matching crashes and ride look the same as the new VH-13-MG. The kick is the  KD-140-BC V-Kick. This also features the black chrome shell wrap but is otherwise the KD-140 from last years model which was a great kick drum and very solid.
