This is a great vocal effects and harmony unit. Picks up the chords from either a guitar input, MIDI input, or even an audio device such as an iPod, so you don't have to do much programming. Really fool-proof setup as it automatically sets input volume, eq and compression. Very realistic doubling effects, superb harmonies, great reverbs - I can't live without now that i've used it. Appears to be very well built as well. Buy this!

Just received my VL2 a day or so ago and absolutely love it. I do have the Harmony-G (reviewed elsewhere) and this is a big upgrade that justifies the price difference. I was able to plug this up to my stereo mixer and the sounds are amazing. One thing I could not find anywhere on the net: the unit comes with 205 presets (and you can download some Harmony-G presets into slots 206-217, TC Helicon does a good job with updating this). From there, you can copy/paste/create your own edits from 218-400 to make it your own (and leave the factory presets alone in their original position, but you could always reset the machine if you save over the first 217 presets). The other thing not explained well on the net is that the guitar fx have independent reverb and also a separate volume control. My one issue with the Harmony-G was that the automix did not always work great. With the VL2, that is not an issue at all. Very happy with this!
