The DTXtreme III XL is the DTXtreme III special pads with the RS130 drum rack.
In addition to over 1,000 onboard drum, percussion and special effect voices, the module includes over 100 General MIDI voices. With the optional memory installed, 512 MB of sampling allows players to trigger a large library of custom sounds. Combine the stacking and layering capabilities of 100 voices with other advanced features, and the DTXTREME III Special is a complete workstation for drummers. Both DTXTREME III versions include 3-zone drum and cymbal pads, USB connectivity and an advanced internal sequencer.

The DTX900 module gets its sounds from the Motif XS series keyboards and it's DSP effects from Yamaha's high end digital mixers. There are 1,115 drum and percussion sounds to choose from and you can expand the onboard sounds by sampling your own. The DTX900 is capable of importing and layering samples and there is a growing library of third party DTX sounds and compatible VST instruments to choose from to enhance your sound. The sampler requires optional memory add on with a max of 512MB. The DTX900 also has a built in sequencer so you can record your own tracks. Also included are Groove checking and a metronome. You of course get USB, MIDI, multiple audio outputs including digital SP/DIF.

The new XP120SD is designed to be the most realistic feeling electronic snare drum to date. Yamaha has used a newly designed Textured Cellular Silicone head to achieve this. The head is built by introducing tiny air bubbles into foamed silicone in a proprietary manufacturing process. The results are the XP120SD which has a different stick rebound than a tom. The drum is 12" and 3 zone and ships with a stereo cable to hook it up to your module. This drum is fully compatible with the DTX900 module and the Dtxtreme III module when upgraded to the proper firmware.
